106 Green is pleased to announce Jon Lutz as director. He is a welcomed addition to the gallery, originally founded and run by artists Mitchell Wright, Holly Coulis, and Ridley Howard. Jon has been involved in organizing shows in New York since 2005 when he founded Daily Operation, an ongoing  multi-venue curatorial project.  In 2012, Jon joined Lacey Fekishazy at Sardine, a gallery in Brooklyn as co-director. It was an impressive 3 years with Sardine, establishing the gallery as one of the more visible venues in Bushwick exhibiting emerging and mid-career artists. His shows have recently been featured in TimeOutNY, Hyperallergic, ArtFCity, and ArtNews, among others. Jon has consistently championed artists based in the outer boroughs of New York, and is deeply connected to the artist community in Brooklyn. His exhibitions have included artists that range from the well-known to the truly emerging, and are both multi-media and multi-generational. Please visit http://www.dailyoperation.org and http://sardinebk.com/ for past projects. His vision and curatorial experience will be tremendous assets to our gallery. We look forward to this exciting new chapter.
